Outdoor adventures have always been part of my life, I grew up conventional fishing in Upper Michigan…yes, I’m a Yooper! Fishing took a hiatus for a few years while being an avid bike racer over 20yrs. I moved to Minneapolis in 2007 for a career move in engineering, I took up fly fishing after retiring from bike racing in 2009. I focused on fly fishing by hiring a guide on the Northshore of Minnesota, caught my first fish on the fly on my birthday and the rest is history. Once I get into something, I learn every detail possible to make myself a better angler and I enjoy sharing what I learn. I’m thrilled to be part of such an amazing club, Women Anglers of Minnesota! My experience as a women’s organization board member, I’ve been a 5yr board member & past Chair for Fly Fishing Women of Minnesota and Communications Chair for Fly Fishers International Women Connect. And co-created a virtual event Celebrating Women in Fly Fishing. I have extensive experience in virtual and in person events. Now I’m looking forward to bringing more education opportunities to WAM supporting women to expand their knowledge & success on the water!! My fishing passion is fly fishing, but I consider myself a complete angler always looking for better ways to catch fish. I enjoy sharing my fishing passion and experience with others through mentorship, guiding & volunteering. Fish on!
