Michelle joined WAM four years ago with the goal of becoming a more independent angler. She loves fishing because it's always an adventure, provides quality time with family and friends, and is a good outlet for her competitive nature. Her experience with WAM includes running the Master Angler program, starting the Toothy Team tournament, and holding the Secretary position on the Executive Board where she learned from the best in Kristen Merwin. She believes it will take a team effort to manage this organization of 833 members and growing, and is thrilled to have a strong and passionate board who is ready to get to work. Michelle said her primary goals are increasing member engagement, fostering a supportive environment to give women and children opportunities to get more involved and improve their fishing skills, as well as increasing WAM's visibility in the fishing industry. Her leadership experience includes running her family business for 31 years and co-founding the Pay It Forward Fund. Michelle has been married for the last 25 years to her favorite fishing buddy, Scott. They have two grown boys and live in Orono.
