SOCIAL Co-DIRECTOR - corie berrigan

Outdoor adventures have always been part of my life - from skiing, snowshoeing, camping, mountain biking, kayaking, and canoeing wilderness rivers. I grew up conventional fishing in Upper Michigan... yes, I'm a Yooper! Fishing took a hiatus for almost 20 years while being an avid bike racer. I relocated to Minneapolis in 2007 for a career move in engineering, and have since retired and enjoying my extra free time fishing. After retiring from bike racing in 2009, I took up fly fishing, which had been on my bucket list for many years. I focused on fly fishing by hiring a guide on the North Shore of Minnesota, caught my first fish on the fly on my birthday, and the rest is history. I'm an avid multi-species fly angler, fly fishing educator, and guide. I'm also on the Pro Staff for Thorne Bros. and The Fly Angler.

I'm thrilled to be a WAM Board Member and part of such an amazing organization, Women Anglers of Minnesota! I have years of experience as a women's organization board member. I've been a 5-year board member and past Chair for Fly Fishing Women of Minnesota and Communications Chair for Fly Fishers International Women Connect. I've also co-created a virtual event called Celebrating Women in Fly Fishing. I have extensive experience in teaching fly fishing, virtual, and in-person events. Now, I'm looking forward to contributing to WAM's educational and social events.

My fishing passion is fly fishing, but I consider myself a complete angler - always looking for better ways to catch fish. I enjoy sharing my fishing passion and experience with others through mentorship, guiding, and volunteering.

Fish on!
