I joined WAM three years ago to participate in the Members only Ice Fishing tournament on Lake Darling in 2020. Ever since then, my passion for fishing has been ignited! I have only been fishing for 5 years,and started out bobber fishing, but have since learned to set up a fish house on my own, choose appropriate tackle, read a cartography map and many other “firsts”. The support, camaraderie, and comfort WAM has brought me encourages me to try new things, meet new women, and enjoy the sport of fishing. I frequently out fish my husband! “I look forward to serving on the WAM board to help other women just like myself gain the confidence to go out and fish!”
