Women Anglers of Minnesota

I have been a member of WAM since 2017 and on the board for the past 5 years. I was the social director during covid and organized many online events with speakers and education. The past three years, I have been in the trip director position. I have always loved planning the family vacations and took that love to plan trips for our Wamily. I will continue to plan these trips doing what we all love to do and what brought us together.

A little about me, I grew up in small-town Wisconsin on a dairy farm. With the family business, fishing was never part of our lives. My Grandpa did some sunny fishing and I went with him a few times before I moved to Minnesota to continue my education after high school. It was not until I met my husband that I fished again. He is an avid walleye fisherman and taught me about fishing for the Minnesota state fish. After a couple years, I wanted to learn more about other species and gain more knowledge, so I started joining events with the DNR program BOW and fished for bass and also joined a BOW group to learn about Sturgeon. I then found WAM and have not only gained a lot of knowledge and techniques, I have gained lifetime friends.
